Reply:A stuffed animal. Doesn%26#039;t have to be a teddy bear, it just has to be cute. If she has a favourite animal (penguin, giraffe, cat etc.) that%26#039;d earn you some brownie points.

Mixed CD, totally lame and a bit cliche but lame and cliche can be cute. It shows you put thought and effort into it. Just don%26#039;t go too over the top with the songs.

Does she play any sports, is she in band, or a member of any clubs? If you could get her something involving a hobby of hers thats always good..it shows you pay attention to her interests. (ex. if she plays soccer, a stuffed animal in a little soccer uniform or holding a soccer ball, or holding an instrument that she plays)

Reply:NORMALLY, I would take my woman out for a real nice dinner, at that time I have a florist deliver a bouquet of flowers(not roses) as they are way to over used, then I have certificate for her to use at a massage parlor (while I wait) then home were I have dessert waiting for her. (usually something chocolate that I made myself) Then after all is well and done, I draw her a warm bath, with her favorite bath solution(usually from Lush). After she is all dried off and in her favorite (NEW) silk bathrobe, I go down on her for at least 20 min(takes only two minutes for her to experience true pleasure) and than I let her go to sleep.

Every Tueday morning i walk to my local cemetery and leave flowers and gifts for the dead. There are severals grave sites that I visit regularly and have a connection to. I was just wondering what sort of gifts you would leave? Or possibly something that maybe I could leave.

Please do not give me any stupid answers such as : %26quot;thongs!%26quot; or anything sexualy related for that matter.

This is a serious question that I would like thoughtful and serious answers for.

A gift of flowers are a nice gesture. People say flowers are a waste of money, but it is not about money. It is just an act of kindness, like smiling or waving at someone. I think people that think flowers are worthless or a waste of money have obviously never received flowers before. Remember you do not have to give like a $50 bouquet, just something nice for a happy occasion.

Important note, NEVER ever give someone fake flowers that is just tacky!!! My grandma told me if a guy gives you fake flowers then it means his feelings for you are fake. A guy that claimed he liked me %26quot;emotionally%26quot;, although I always knew he was only physically attracted to me, gave me fake flowers and I knew immediately I was right.

The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.

Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.

I have 6-7 girls in my wedding as flower girls in my wedding ranging from 2 1/2 - 6 years old. I also have 2 ring bearers, one boy (6) and one girl (6) and two girls who are playing %26quot;host%26quot; at the reception that are 12 and 9. I%26#039;m looking for gift ideas that are equal and fair, but fitting. I don%26#039;t think I can get them all the same thing because of the interest range.

Are Toys R Us or Target gift cards a horrible idea??

My daughter went to a shop that does monogramming.. She had them do baseball tees with ring bearer or flower girl on the front %26amp; their name on the back.. The girls were done in white with pink sleeves with pink writing %26amp; the boys were done in white with navy sleeves %26amp; writing.... The kids loved them.

To add something else... Here%26#039;s an idea that we%26#039;re doing for my youngest daughter%26#039;s wedding.. We%26#039;re setting up a table geared just for children... I have found some wedding pictures to color online %26amp; I%26#039;m printing them out to make coloring books. For the older kids, you can also find wedding word searches or make your own. It has been suggested to me to cover the table with a white sheet %26amp; let the kids write or color what they want. Then after the wedding, I can make a quilt of the kids drawings to give to the couple... This is a good way to occupy little ones while mom %26amp; dad enjoy the wedding..

I got my stuff there. I got the ring bearer ( who was 3) a train bank with his name engraved on the top. They also have footballs, soccar balls, tractors. All different kinds of %26quot;piggy%26quot; banks for kids and you can get their names engraved in them. I think the train was 15 bucks.

For the flowergirls, go to the same site, I got them the silver brush and mirror set with their initial engraved in the back of the mirror. Very classic, very pretty. For the older girls, you can get them a tote bag with their names or initial on them. Something they can use when they go spend the night at a friends house.

The tote would be about $15-30, they are usually canvas trimmed in pink or such and fill it with toddler toys. They always think stuffed animals are cute. There are those pajama gram commercials (but I don%26#039;t know how much those cost). Chocolates can be tricky. If she always thinks she has weight issues, or is dieting, stay away. Clothes are tough too. If you get those sizes wrong, either too big (%26quot;you think I%26#039;m fat%26quot;) or too small (%26quot;you want me to be thinner%26quot;) you are in the dog house. If you%26#039;re strapped for cash, sing to her. You don%26#039;t have to do a good job or have a golden voice, as long as you put some effort into it. She%26#039;ll think it%26#039;s sweet. If singing%26#039;s not your thing, cook for her. For 40 - 50 bucks you can make a really spectacular, candle lit meal. If you don%26#039;t know how to cook, call mom or watch a cooking show. Make sure you know what she does and doesn%26#039;t eat though. Romance can sometimes be the only light in the darkness of confusion. Can%26#039;t go wrong.

I would say that everyday should be our day as we do so much to keep things running properly, be it at home, schools or any other type of work. Even more for us, working moms who have a triple journey - work, home and husband/children ... but do we get accounted for all that? I know, I don%26#039;t.

I did work on that day and did not see so many celebrations around (I wished a happy women%26#039;s day to some other women), so I think people didn%26#039;t value that day as they should have, specially the men ... But we know our value, don%26#039;t we?

But its just Valentines Day, to some its just a day when the retail stores make their money, or a day when teenagers get to give flowers or cards to someone who they hope to one day have.

I had to laugh about the $400,000 law suit that the couple wanted for their wedding glowers not being the correct color.

I%26#039;m guessing they were not into the wedding. Who cares about the color of the flowers. Eyes should be on the couple. I think they should of made the flowers gifts, after all spending that much on them is sorta odd to me.

They should of just had an outdoors wedding with natural colors.

There is a reason we all don%26#039;t get what we want. I think in their case its to learn about indulgence.

I did not spend anywhere near that amount for my wedding flowers but I wanted the flowers I paid for. True the focus of the wedding is the bride and groom and the love story.

But there is such a thing as legally binding contracts for goods and services.

BUT, to be fair, think about it this way.

You are a couple who has paid for a specific service. You may have paid thousands of dollars. If it is true that the color of the flowers was completely different than what was ordered, then it is a breech of contract, no matter what. At the very least, the bride should have been told her wants couldn%26#039;t be met.

Now, I would not sue over flower colors, but I am not surprised to hear this. I can see this happening in this day and age where couples blow $20,000 on centrepieces.

People need to get out of their bubble and see the REAL problems this world has.

I think it depends on the woman and also how the man expresses his love. I make sure my fiance has roses at least every other week, and when we go a few days without seeing each other due to schedules I drop a card in the mail. When I go out of town, I always bring something back that she will like. Also I will leave a little note somewhere for her to find later just saying I love her.

I don%26#039;t know what you mean by flower gifts but maybe you could sell them to a flower shop or wedding planner.
Reply:Start with your circle of friends %26amp; relatives. Maybe put together a brochure with pictures of a selections of flower gifts. Have them hand out your brochures to other people they know. You could offer a discount for a sales referral. This is a good way to judge the market %26amp; does not cost a lot of money.

Chocs are great, a meal is good at home too.

If you really want to push the boat out, do something that you never do ie. iorning, washing, housework etc (im not saying you dont do these allready, but do something she wont expect)

Funeral etiquette - flowers, gift etc, what to do?

My best friend%26#039;s, daughters%26#039; baby has passed away after 3 months of life. I%26#039;ve never been to a funeral before (amazing but true) and am not sure what to do. Should I take flowers (wreath, boquet or what) or is it better to give a gift to the baby%26#039;s mother instead. If so what kind of gift is appropriate. The baby was a little boy.

You could send flowers to the funeral parlor for the wake. In an obituary, it will say if they would like flowers or some people want donations made in the deceased%26#039;s name. (like to a children%26#039;s hospital where your friends granddaughter was seen.) I would ask your friend what would be good to bring, if anything. You don%26#039;t want to make her more upset. A good bet is sending a sympathy card in advance. I%26#039;m sorry for your friend%26#039;s loss, his/her daughter%26#039;s baby will be in my prayers tonight.
Reply:I agree with musicmen. A friend of mine gave me a single white rose at my mother%26#039;s funeral (sympathy) and a single pink rose at my dad%26#039;s funeral (to show that life still goes on). Please give your friend my sincere condolences. As for what flower(s) would be appropriate for this situation, please consult a florist.

Reply:Wow, very sorry to hear that. I would see if they have an account set up for the family. Chances are since the baby was so young, they didnt%26#039; have any insurance for him or her and funeral arrangements are not cheap. One less thing for your friends to worry about.

Flowers are beautiful, but they have to move them from the funeral home and they don%26#039;t last long.
Reply:Usually people have a flower basket or vase delivered to the funeral home handling the service...or you can make a donation in the childs name to a charity...for example Children%26#039;s Hospital. Also if the young mom is uninsured, you may want to give her some money in a sympathy card so that she can use it toward such a sad and unexpected expense. Most importantly...is to be there for your friend and her daughter

A plant that can continue to grow is a wonderful memorial to a loved one (Hydrangeas or Azaleas are nice). It would be appropriate to give the gift to either your friend or her daughter since both are grieving. You can take it to the funeral or their house before or after.

Somtimes guys buy you jewelry to win over your heart, but do they truely love you? Chocolates and flowers come from the heart. I would much rather prefer Chocolates or flowers over jewelry unless it%26#039;s a wedding band of course :D

The person%26#039;s income and the relationship are factors. If a super-wealthy person you%26#039;ve been going out with for two years gives you flowers and nothing else it sends a bad signal. On the other hand, if a super-wealthy person is always buying you jewelry there%26#039;s something less than nice or special about that too.

If you%26#039;ve only been going out with someone for a little while flowers are perfect. Jewelry would be too much and too weird and a signal that the person didn%26#039;t know what was appropriate.

In general, though, I pretty much do subscribe to %26quot;its the thought that counts%26quot;.
