what does each of it symbolize....expensive gift most affection? What do you think?
Ladies.....When you receive gifts like chocolates or flowers or even jewellery.....?
The important thing is not how much it costs, but that I like it. This will show that he really knows me.
My boyfriend and I are paying for our educations right now, so we don%26#039;t have the cash to give each other presents. Instead, sometimes I come home to find that he has cleaned my house for me! Or, he%26#039;ll wash my car. He%26#039;s a keeper!
Reply:No, it means the person who gave you the gift was thinking about you and wants you to feel special. Regardless of how much it costs, its always the thought that counts!
Reply:I think that flowers or chocolates symbolize the love he is giving to you. Jewelry may be expensive and very pretty but it isn%26#039;t always a sign of love. Somtimes guys buy you jewelry to win over your heart, but do they truely love you? Chocolates and flowers come from the heart. I would much rather prefer Chocolates or flowers over jewelry unless it%26#039;s a wedding band of course :D
Reply:Nope, expensive or cheap, they are only as good as the trouble and thought that went into them.
How much trouble did he go through to get the gift.
I would rather have a bouquet of grocery store flowers that he went in and picked out, than 1-800-flowers that used a phone call and credit card.
Reply:i dont think the price has anything to do with how special the gift is or how much a man likes/loves you
Reply:Let see i don%26#039;t like chocolate so if my partner got me chocolate i would symbolize that he don%26#039;t pay attention!
Flowers are GREAT i love them they cost a lot but i always enjoy flowers -- would mean much more if it came from the ground and he cut them himself.. maybe a poem too that to me is priceless and if he does that the next few days will be door closed we are not home days! if you know what i mean!
Jewerly i only want one peice that engagment ring! when the time is right of course but that means that he loves me and wants to be with me for life!
cost don%26#039;t mean much the heart does
at least for me this is what means the most@
Reply:I think I appreciate flowers most because it shows someone knows that I love flowers and sees me as feminine.
Jewelry is nice if its my taste, but there%26#039;s nothing worse than getting jewelry that isn%26#039;t my taste and is, instead, someone else%26#039;s taste.
I don%26#039;t really see chocolates as a great gift from someone who%26#039;s a boyfriend. They%26#039;re food and they%26#039;re brown, and they%26#039;re sugary. I like a good chocolate, but I don%26#039;t see them as gift material from a boyfriend. Maybe its because they seem to say, %26quot;Here%26#039;s some food. I bet you%26#039;ll love food.%26quot; or %26quot;Here%26#039;s some candy, Little Girl.%26quot;
The person%26#039;s income and the relationship are factors. If a super-wealthy person you%26#039;ve been going out with for two years gives you flowers and nothing else it sends a bad signal. On the other hand, if a super-wealthy person is always buying you jewelry there%26#039;s something less than nice or special about that too.
If you%26#039;ve only been going out with someone for a little while flowers are perfect. Jewelry would be too much and too weird and a signal that the person didn%26#039;t know what was appropriate.
In general, though, I pretty much do subscribe to %26quot;its the thought that counts%26quot;.
Reply:A gift is a gift, though i love the expensive ones more because i am a practicle person and less romantic....LOL.
Reply:i%26#039;m thrilled by the snipped flower from our yard - hand delivered - with the ant still clinging to it.

Reply:Well, I feel that expensive gifts are buying a womens affection. I go for the most thoughtful, that he%26#039;s thinking about me and not trying to trying to find an expensive gift that going to get him laid.
Reply:Ladies please. We all know that is the most PC(politiclly correct) thing to say so you feel good about yourselves, but reality beats PC anyday. Women like expensive gifts...plain and simple. They my resent you, even unconsciously, if you get something cheap.
Reply:LOL My best most sacred gift from my husband is the cheap penny ring from a vending machine! He proposed to me but lost the real ring, so he improvised with the penny ring!
Reply:I don%26#039;t consider the price to mean anything honestly. I think even a chocolate bar bought during a shopping trip indicates that he was thinking about me and cares about me...
Reply:If my hubby buys me chocolate, to me it is a sweet gesture. Usually we end up eating the chocolate together, discussing our day,etc... flowers are a nice thought to me, I use them on our dinner table to add a touch of %26quot;homey%26quot; feeling. As for jewelry, the last piece I received was for Mother%26#039;s Day this year and it was a Mother%26#039;s ring. The ring, for me, was the most precious thing I own. It has my husband%26#039;s, mine, and both children%26#039;s birthstones. The sentiment behind it means a lot to me. Cost on any of those items is irrelevant to me.
When I was just dating, if I received any of those from a boyfriend, I usually saw it as a very sweet gesture, no matter the cost.
Reply:All of them symbolise someone who does not know me: chocolates I%26#039;m allergic to, flowers give me hayfever and I never wear jewellery.
Reply:doesnt symobolize anything....because i brought it for myself.
its a cute gesture...romantic too..but things like that dont happen to me..
nice question though...ty for the points.
Reply:flowers r the best gift u can give to anyone
Reply:An expensive gift is just an expensive gift to me. It doesn%26#039;t say anything about affection. Now if the man put a lot of thought into the gift (expensive or not - or even totally free) then it shows me his affection for me.
Reply:I think any gift is meant to be a token, a gesture of their thoughts for you. The cost of the gift should not have anything to do with it. It is the thought that counts not the cost of the gift itself. God bless****
Reply:love cannot be decided on the gift you get.honesty should be given first priority.even if he picks a flower from a bush along the way you should be ablte love his poor state and accept him for who he is
Reply:No a good old hug is free and I would prefer that over chocs.
Not a flowers girl either, would prefer a glass of wine poured for me and a big bubble bath run ready.
Jewellery - is lovely and make me feel special.
the most expensive gift is not the most affection at all. its the little things that matter.
Reply:Its not really the expense of the gift that matters, its the thought behind it. If a man give a gift, just because he loves you, and cares about you, and wants to show this in some small way.
Reply:It doesn%26#039;t mean anything to me. It tells me that the guy has no idea what I like and just went with the standard, clichéd women%26#039;s gifts.
