Valentine's day, flowers to boyfriend's mom...?

I kinda want to send my boyfriend%26#039;s mom some flowers for Valentines day, is that weird?

He hasn%26#039;t even gotten ME any flowers, my friend says that%26#039;s weird...and that I shouldn%26#039;t send his mom any because it%26#039;ll look like I%26#039;m hinting at flowers from him. Honestly, I would love for him to be like that...my last boyfriend set my expectations high by spoiling me with flowers and gifts, rings, etc, which sucks.. I%26#039;m trying to get over it and realize this one isn%26#039;t like that. Anyway, flowers to her - should I or shouldn%26#039;t I?

Valentine%26#039;s day, flowers to boyfriend%26#039;s mom...?
Well its a nice gesture but not really the done thing. You haven%26#039;t been seeing her son that long - she might be a bit puzzled by the gesture.

I wouldn%26#039;t.

Well I might but she has been my MIL for years, is Granny to my son and has been a good friend but even then Valentines day is for lovers not in laws!
Reply:Why would you......I am sure your boyfriend won%26#039;t get her anything....but if you want it to be nice go ahead...........
Reply:definitely not, leave that up to her husband
