I have been buying my wife flowers every week for about a month now. I have noticed that she is a diffrent person since I started this. It a very good $10 dollar a week %26quot;investment%26quot; lol. She say she feels loved more when she gets them. I%26#039;m afraid they are becoming %26quot;old hat%26quot; What else could I buy her with/instead of the flowers?
What are some other good gifts to buy my wife to show her that I care other than flowers under say $25 or so?
Things that she might like to use. For instance a really nice album for pics of your two favorite people %26quot;mommy %26amp; baby%26quot;. Take pics and put them in the album for her. Something to make her life easier in the kitchen. Appliances. There is jewelry available for under 25 bucks at most discount stores that are not investments but can give the sweet message that you are thinking of her. Prepare meals for her. Help around the house. Let her pamper herself. Get her a gift certificate to get her nails done one afternoon. Tell her how you feel about her in a letter.
Reply:Maybe a small bottle of perfume or a box of candy...or maybe a little stuffed animal or sentimental book.
Reply:Pedicure!
Reply:Abox of candy, an inexpensive piece of jewelry, a book by an author she loves, her favorite perfume
Reply:To ME... it%26#039;s not how much $$ you spend, but what you do w/ the time you have together...
Great idea to have the dinner ready when she%26#039;s not expecting it, w/ a clean kitchen to boot! Afterwards-- give her time to unwind.
Bubblebath: set the scene w/ a great scented bubble bath, and candles. It%26#039;s not for the both of you, it%26#039;s for HER (unless, of course, she invites you to join her).
Laundry: who usually does this? Even if you assist when not expected (and don%26#039;t mention you did it) that%26#039;s a BIG WOW in my book! Same w/ other misc chores. Just helping when not in the norm is a huge %26quot;i love you%26quot; gesture.
Leave her little LOVE notes in places she won%26#039;t expect them, attach a Hersheys Kiss. On her pillow, on the table next to her keys, next to her toothbrush, etc. The more you do for her, the more it will be reciprocated. It *MUST* be from the heart though.
Reply:A night at home....for her to do nothing and you to cater to her. Cook supper, clean, fix her a fancy bath with scented water/bubble bathe. Give her a foot rub afterwards.
Reply:Stop at a Hallmark store and start buying her little figurines or if she has a certain thing that seems to bring her some happiness ( my wife likes snowmen, now we have a village ) buy her someting small like that that you know she will enjoy and can become a display for her.
Reply:Women love things that are ment for them. It lets them know they are being thought of. Write her a poem about the week and the beautiful things you%26#039;ve noticed about her. I%26#039;m sure she%26#039;d like this a lot. Or, you could cook a dinner for her. Also you can set aside that day for the two of you to just cuddle. It%26#039;s not hard to please a woman and I%26#039;m sure anything you do will be loved.
Reply:You could make her something.. Like you make her a collage aka scrapbook pages. of things you have done together, etc.. if you have kids you can buy kits (handprint kit, stone makers, etc) I don%26#039;t beleive they cost that much to make, everything is include in the kits....
you can make her a video of all the pictures/places you have been... You can take her out to a nice dinner.... Chocolates..yummy...
Reply:Bring home dinner sometime so she doesn%26#039;t have to make it.
Arrange a pedicure or manicure and the time to go to it. (beauty schools are inexpensive and do a great job.)
Arrange a babysitter while you are at work so she can go do something by herself.
Reply:give her a copy of this poem, framed:
i carry your heart with me
by e. e. cummings
i carry your heart with me (i carry it in
my heart) i am never without it (anywhere
i go you go, my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing, my darling)
i fear
no fate (for you are my fate, my sweet) i want
no world (for beautiful you are my world, my true)
and it%26#039;s you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you
here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life; which grows
higher than soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that%26#039;s keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)
Reply:Gift certificate for a manicure with a small note saying you want to take care of the hands that take care of you.
You don%26#039;t really have to spend a lot of money or buy gifts. Try taking her to the video store, tell her she can pick out any movie.... then watch it with her.
How about a blank book (you can find them at the book stores) and you write in the first page. Write your feelings about her. She can use the rest of the book to write her own thoughts/feelings or keep track of family memories.
Make arrangements for the kids to go somewhere for the evening or the night. Get a bottle of champion and a pizza. Don%26#039;t turn the tv on.
